Hi, I’m Ashley!
Functional Nutrition Practitioner, Certified Personal Trainer, and the founder of Alive Health & Wellness.
I help women uncover the root causes behind fatigue, weight gain, digestive issues, and hormone concerns through a personalized, evidence-informed approach that combines nutrition, strength training, and functional lab testing.
My Story
For years, I believed I was doing everything "right."
Like many women, I experienced firsthand how frustrating it can be to feel disconnected from your body. After being diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and struggling with a binge eating disorder, I realized that true healing wasn't about finding the next diet or following another restrictive plan.
It was about understanding what my body actually needed.
As I began learning more about functional nutrition, metabolism, hormones, and gut health, everything changed. By addressing the underlying factors impacting my health and building sustainable habits, I lost over 40 pounds, improved my relationship with food, and finally began feeling like myself again.
That experience sparked a passion that ultimately led me to become a Functional Nutrition Practitioner while serving as a law enforcement officer in Atlanta, Georgia. What began as a passion project side business quickly grew into something much bigger, and I eventually left law enforcement to pursue Alive Health & Wellness full-time.
Years later, becoming a mom brought an entirely new season of learning.
Navigating postpartum recovery, shifting hormones, sleep deprivation, and the demands of motherhood reminded me that health is never one-size-fits-all. Through a sustainable approach rooted in nutrition, strength training, and patience, I lost over 70 pounds postpartum while experiencing firsthand the challenges so many women face after having children.
Those two chapters of my life shaped the way I coach today.
I know what it's like to feel frustrated when your body isn't responding the way you expect. I also know that lasting change doesn't come from perfection — it comes from understanding your body, working with it instead of against it, and building habits you can maintain for life.
Today, I have the privilege of helping women across the world uncover the root causes behind fatigue, weight gain, digestive issues, and hormone concerns so they can stop guessing and finally feel confident in their health again.

My Philosophy
I don't believe your symptoms are something you simply have to live with.
Fatigue, weight gain, digestive issues, irregular cycles, and hormone imbalances aren't a matter of discipline — they're often your body's way of asking for support.
My approach focuses on looking at the whole picture.
Rather than relying on restrictive diets or one-size-fits-all programs, I combine functional nutrition, personalized strength training, lifestyle optimization, and advanced lab testing when appropriate to create recommendations tailored specifically to you.
Who I Love Working With
I work with women in many different seasons of life, but I especially enjoy helping those who are ready to stop guessing and take back control of their lives.
This includes women who are:
Struggling with fatigue, stubborn weight gain, digestive issues, or hormone imbalances
Living with Hashimoto's thyroiditis, PCOS, endometriosis, or other autoimmune conditions
Trying to conceive and wanting to optimize their health before pregnancy
Navigating pregnancy with evidence-based nutrition and fitness support
Looking for guidance through postpartum recovery, rebuilding strength, and sustainable weight loss
Tired of restrictive diets and ready to build a healthier relationship with food
Looking for root-cause answers after being told "everything looks normal"
Beyond the Office
While I'm passionate about helping women feel their best, there's so much more to me than nutrition and fitness.
You'll usually find me spending time with my husband and chasing after our daughter, Natalie, who keeps life full of adventure. Our family also includes Molly, our sweet old lady black Lab, and Oliver (affectionately known as "Tootie"), who's usually out hunting lizards at night or begging for cuddles during the day.
When I have a little time to myself, I love getting outside for a hike, strength training, or curling up with a good psychological thriller. I'm a lifelong learner at heart, whether I'm diving into the latest research on functional nutrition, hormones, and metabolism or getting lost in a great book.
At the end of the day, I believe health should enhance your life — not become your entire life. My goal is to help women build sustainable habits that leave room for the people, experiences, and moments that matter most.
